Okay so there are practical ways to get in shape but what is "Health Related Fitness?"
Several health and physical fitness definitions and terms have been referred to over the years, and sometimes misused. That said however, the current widely accepted term, or more specifically, Health Related Fitness, consists of 5 particular Components of physical fitness which relate to good health.
As the above image shows, these components are Cardiorespiratory or Cardiovascular Fitness, Body Composition, Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance and Flexibility.
The importance of these components and how or more importantly why they should be a part of everyone’s life, cannot be overstated. A well-rounded condition of health is far more attainable than commonly perceived. In addition, the benefits of exercise, healthy eating and a positive emotional state and outlook on life, contribute significantly to combating the effects of stress, improving energy levels and reducing the risk of premature ill-health.
Yes, shaping up means work, and that may seem like a chore to you now. But healthy eating and physical exercise can be fun too - not just dull and boring like many may think, AND there are huge payouts!
